by Edward Deason

When I took this product I felt joint aches, low energy and felt very hot, not fever, just hot. Is this normal?

Black walnut hull in large doses can cause sedation of the heart and circulatory system. This calming effect could be associated with low energy.

Persons with existing liver, kidney, or gastrointestinal conditions should take black walnut with caution as it can cause irritation.

In allergic individuals, it can cause rashes, swollen skin, hives, and skin irritation.

Rarely, chest pain, tightness of the airways, and breathing difficulties have been associated with its use.

I suppose that the symptoms you experienced are possible but they are not common side effects.

I arrived at this website while searching for the same information. After a few days on a Candida formula containing a relatively low dose of black walnut hulls; I have developed flu-like symptoms of feverishness, body aches, and extreme fatigue. (basically a worsening of chronic symptoms.)
