Will chromium yeast cause or worsen oral thrush?

by Deryl
(Iowa Park, Texas)

I was diagnosed with oral thrush about two weeks ago and used an anti fungal oral rinse. I am taking a product called Immuplex, will the chromium yeast in it make the thrush come back?

Looking at the product ingredients of Immuplex they list nutritional yeast and chromium yeast. I suspect they are talking about Brewer's yeast which does contain chromium. Brewer's yeast is made from the dead cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and we have a webpage on Saccharomyces cerevisiae here if you care to take a look. Being dead I doubt its going to have any effect on the thrush, alive it can be a potential pathogen.
