My daughter needs to gain weight? What do I do to help her while she is on candida diet?

by Susan H
(Punta Gorda, Fl )

My daughter Jenn is 45 and we just ordered your 4 product package to go along with the candida diet. She is suffering with the die off. She needs to gain weight as she is 4ft 10 inches and down to 100 pounds. Is there any protein drink or smoothie I can make to help her. She is fatigued. Also, how about bone broth? Can she have it and if so, how much a day?

Thank you

Hi Susan,

It can be difficult to gain weight while following the Candida diet. Most people just try to maintain their current weight unless they want to lose weight, the diet does work well for weight loss. Die-off symptoms get better as you go and typically the worst of it will be over in a week.

To answer your question, any protein powder that is low in sugar would be ok. You can also increase the amount of good fat you eat, a gram of fat has 9 calories verses carbohydrates 4 so a little goes a long way. I would also make sure she does not go hungry, there is no reason to.

Do not cut off all carbs either, the immune system and red blood cells need some carbs daily to function correctly. 50 to 60 grams a day seems to work best for most people although some can get away with less and some need a little more. Refer to the good food page for acceptable higher carb foods she can eat. A serving of bone broth a day to help with any leaky gut issues would be good.

Any other questions let me know.

Apple cider vinegar does have anti-fungal effects so it is ok to consume.

Carbs

Dan, I need to get more carbs into my daughter. She has no energy. What do you suggest? She has been on the candida diet for a week. I add a lot of vegetables to her diet but it doesn’t seem to be enough carbs. Is adding quinoa at this time ok? Thank you again.

We just got the four products today and do not know where to start. I tried to print from order page but it would not open up. I am worried about trying them all at once as she is already weak.

Susan,

Go to the Candida diet good foods page and there is a list of allowed carbs, here

https://www.yeastinfectionadvisor.com/candidadietgoodfoods.html

Quinoa is allowed, oats are ok too.

Basically you take the products like this:

Take 1 to 3 capsules of Biofase at least one hour before breakfast and at bedtime with 1 or 2 capsules of Profase and 1 Floraphage.

Take 2 caps Microfase 30 minutes before breakfast and 30 minutes before dinner.

If you are worried about die-off start at low doses or possibly just one product such as Profase for a few days. Then add Biofase and after a few days add Floraphage, a few more days add Microfase. Work up from there to 3 caps Biofase with 2 caps Profase and 1 cap Floraphage. Take 2 caps Microfase.
