Natural Treatment for Mercury Poisoning & Other MetalsI highly recommend that a person goes thru treatment for mercury poisoning and other metals if they have chronic candida yeast that will not go away. Yeast and candida are now recognized as an immune system response against lead, aluminum, excess iron, and especially mercury. They also will use these metals to transport their spores throughout the body. If you do not cleanse yourself of metals, and you do have excess metals in your system, you will not be able to get rid of your yeast infections and candida. The symptoms of mercury and metal poisoning can also mimic the symptoms of candida and yeast. Many times what people think is candida, is really mercury poisoning. You can read about some of the possible symptoms for mercury poisoning here. This is a limited list, but the listed symptoms are also those commonly experienced by candida and yeast sufferers. Hopefully you have completed the urine challenge test already, if not, this is how you do it. You need 1 Urine Mercury Test Kit and some DMSA. Or you could do a Mineral Hair Analysis. Once you have received these items take 30mg per 2.2 pounds of bodyweight of the DMSA for treatment for mercury poisoning right after you urinate first thing in the morning. Over the course of the next 6 hours, if you urinate collect a sample. At the end of the 6 hours combine all the urine and test. You really need to be down under 2. You can also use the test kit without the DMSA but ANY mercury reading without it is to high. If you don't have a mercury problem you can skip that part of the protocol. For the hair analysis follow the manufacturers directions. If you have a mercury issue follow the guidelines below. You must prepare the body for treatment for mercury poisoning by opening the detoxification pathways prior to starting the mercury removal. If you don't, mercury can be reabsorbed through the colon and detoxing will become a never ending cycle. The most important thing is to clean the colon so your having 2 bowel movements per day. This opens the detox pathways of the liver and lymphatic system and prevents re-absorption of mercury. The best way to do that is with a colon cleanse and I prefer this one because it also kills any parasites and yeast. There are others on the market of course but if they do not kill parasites they are really a waste of time. 30 days should do it while you follow the diet unless you have abused your body for years with a bad diet, then it might take 2 months. Follow up the cleanse by taking a high dose probiotic like those found at the bottom of this page. The probiotics keep the detox pathways open and will help you maintain 2 bowel movements per day, they also kill yeast. I have had the best luck with CP-1 but Complete Probiotics and Total Immune Booster will also work if taken at a dose that produces 2 bowel movements a day. The instructions to achieve that dose are found on those pages. Find your dose and take the probiotic the entire time you do the treatment for mercury poisoning. You have to have 2 bowel movements a day or you will re-absorb the mercury into your body. You should also take a multi-vitamin/mineral formula during the treatment for mercury poisoning to support your body the entire time you do this. I suggest Intramax because I know through medical testing on myself it works. I have also tested the top ranked capsule forms of multi's for comparision and they are not anywhere near as effective. Matter of fact, I now personally believe all capsule or tablet forms of multi-vitamins are worthless. But if you decide to take a capsule form you are going to need to add milk thistle, selenium, glutathione Vitamin C, and B Complex vitamins. You should take an Omega 3 product such as Neptune Krill Oil and use flax, olive and coconut oils in your diet. Take 2 capsules of Neptune Krill oil daily. Eat sulfur-containing foods such as broccoli, collards, kale, daikon radish, garlic, onions, and omega-3 eggs. Use cilantro in your cooking or drink a daily cup of cilantro tea. If you have access to a sauna it is a good idea to use it daily while doing this treatment for mercury poisoning. Mercury will be released as you sit in it and sweat. Drink plenty of good clean water daily. I suggest half your bodyweight in ounces. Now that your bodies detox pathways are open, these are your alternatives for treatment for mercury poisoning that have been proven safe and effective. DMSA is a sulfhydryl-containing substance that binds to mercury, lead, cadmium and zinc. It is a water-soluble, non-toxic, orally administered metal chelator that has been in use as an antidote to heavy metal toxicity since the 1950s. Research confirms that DMSA treatment for mercury poisoning is effective yet safe for removing mercury and other heavy metals from the body. DMSA's oral dosing and low toxicity often make it the chelator of choice for many applications. 20% of orally administered DMSA is absorbed thru the gastrointestinal tract, which is two to four times the amount of EDTA that is absorbed. DMSA treatment for mercury poisoning results in the greatest urinary excretion of mercury, compared to other heavy metal chelators, as well as being the most effective at removing mercury from the blood, liver, brain, spleen, lungs, large intestine, skeletal muscle and bone. DMSA can cause deficiencies of copper, manganese, molybdenum, magnesium, and zinc if they are not replaced by supplementation so make sure you take Intramax daily. Dosage recommendations vary widely for DMSA treatment for mercury poisoning. The Physicians Desk Reference recommends 10mg per 2.2 pounds of body weight every eight hours for 5 days, then reduce the dose to twice daily for two more weeks, off for two weeks, and repeat as necessary. This is the high dose that commonly causes the intestinal distress. Others suggest to take 100 to 250 mgs a day of dmsa 3 times a day before meals for 3 days then take 10 days off. Continue this cycle for 6 months then retest with the urine challenge test. DMSA is best taken on an empty stomach, one hour before or two hours after a meal. It is best to be under a doctors supervision when taking DMSA but not required. Treatment for mercury poisoning and other heavy metals is now very safe to do with Zeolites. You don't have to see a doctor and under go intravenous injections with DMPS chelation therapy. The side affects from this process can be very uncomfortable, and if you ask anyone that has done it, they will usually tell you that they won't do it again. You also don't need to be under a doctors care while taking zeolites. Zeolite treatment for mercury poisoning is a negatively charged mineral that magnetically draws harmful positive charged metals and mercury to itself. It traps them in its cage-like structure and takes them out of the body with no overload on the body's detoxification system. They say that the liquification process destroys the beneficial cage structure and negative charge because they use hydrochloric acid in the process. The studies also agree that it takes a dose of between 4,000 mg to 15,000 mg per day to get the full use of zeolites health benefits. Liquid forms commonly only contain 240mgs per bottle which would indicate they are a complete rip-off. However, I have found one independent study on the liquid zeolite product recommended below that proves it does work. This study was released in November 2009. If the detox effects are to uncomfortable, lower the dose and then work your way back up from there. After 2 months at the 20 drops 2 x a day retest by doing the urine challenge test. I can't find any other studies on any of the other liquid zeolite products. However, there is a company that produces a couple mercury test kits, urine and hair, and they say they see dramatic results in the tests results from before and after taking their product, although I have not personally seen the test results. The product is pretty unique in that it combines proven herbs that help detox mercury with zeolite. They also offer quantity discounts and the suggested dose is 10 drops 2 x a day. That product is Zeotrex. You would need 4 bottles to complete two months at their suggested dose but you can always take more. Powdered zeolites are a better deal and what I recommend. I have found a place that has been manufacturing micronized powdered zeolite for 10 years or so and the studies and testimonials back up their product. The Zeolite Pure offer comes in one pound cans and the detox dose is 3 tsps a day. Each dose is 5000mgs and this is a faster and much less expensive way to detox mercury or other heavy metals than liquid zeolite. I would take the Zeolite Pure for 2 months then retest through the urine challenge test. Besides the fact this treatment for mercury poisoning protocol will remove the mercury from your body and could result in the complete clearing of your yeast problem. Some of the items recommended for mercury removal also kill yeast. The probiotics, Ultimate Cleanse, coconut oil, and possibly the zeolite get rid of yeast so it's not like your not doing anything for that problem. Who knows, depending upon how bad your infection is this could completely get rid of it for good once the underlying mercury problem is resolved. It is also basically Stage 1 of the treatment plan. One thing is for sure, if you have a mercury problem and don't take care of it. I honestly doubt you will ever get rid of your yeast problem.
